The Appalachian State University State Staff Senate serves as an essential liaison between the university's staff and its leadership. As a consulting body, it represents the voice of staff employees to administration, faculty, and the broader campus community, ensuring staff perspectives are heard and valued—both locally and within the UNC System Staff Assembly.
The Staff Senate advocates for a workplace that fosters professional and personal growth, actively participates in university decision-making by serving on committees and engaging in service projects, and fosters staff development through initiatives like scholarships and staff recognition events.
