Marshall Parks from Human Resources presented a slideshow outlining several upcoming changes aimed at putting the "human" back in "human resources." He also addressed the headcount cap and salary increases.
Staff Senate Updates
The Staff Scholarship application period closed on March 17th at 5 pm. Information and application can be found on the Staff Senate website.
During a non-recorded session, 'March Mindfulness: What's on your mind?', Senators shared concerns from areas around campus. Topics covered include:
- Parking on campus
- Training for administrators
- Professional development opportunities
- Ability to review supervisors
- Childcare support for working parents (snow days, early release, etc.)
If you have a topic that you would like to bring to the senate, please talk to a senator or submit your request through the anonymous feedback form.

Staff Senate meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in 421 Belk Library and Information Commons and are open to all university staff.
The next Staff Senate meeting will be held on March 10, 2026 1:30-3:00 PM or via Zoom.
