UNC Staff Assembly
UNC Staff Assembly members Alan Porch, chair, and Timothy Sampson, vice chair, talked with us about how staff can get involved with the UNC Staff Assembly and help make important decisions at a system level. Staff do not need to be on the Staff Senate to get involved!
University Calendar
Donna Gallo with University Communications talked about the University Calendar and its importance in the event promotion process. She encourages folks to start putting their fall events into 25Live for the calendar.
Human Resources
Marshall Parks, Interim Chief of Human Resources, gave updates on the Flexible Work Arrangement policy and talked about our new incoming head of HR, Mark Lacey, who will be starting at the end of June.
Staff Senate Updates
The Staff Senate discussed the Senate's formal recommendation concerning Saturday exams and made adjustments before its upcoming submission to leadership.

Join Us
Staff Senate meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in 421 Belk Library and Information Commons and are open to all university staff.
The next Staff Senate meeting will be held on June 9, 2026 1:30-3:00 PM or via Zoom. Chancellor Norris will be speaking, and we will be recognizing our incoming and outgoing senators.
