Pilar Fotta from Human Resources provided information on some lesser known health and wellness benefits including the ELF Loan, new employee discount programs, additional monetary Wellness Benefits that come with the supplemental insurance plans, and more.

Marshall Parks, the new Interim Associate Vice Chancellor of Human Resources, introduced himself and talked about what he hopes to accomplish in his time at App State.
Employee Wellness
Steff McDaniel walked us through the Employee Wellness website and talked about some of their free and low-cost wellness options.
Information Technology Services
Elle Smith talked about several ITS updates, including DUO SMS/phone call authentication being retired and the AsULearn to Canvas migration.

Staff Senate Updates
- Staff Senate nominations are now open. The nomination period is January 13 - February 24. Nominate yourself or someone you know to be a Staff Senator and/or serve on the Executive Team.
- The Staff Senate 50/50 Raffle winner will be drawn on February 13th. 50% of the collection goes to the winner, and 50% goes to Staff Scholarships.
- App Builds a Home is hosting their annual bowling tournament on February 23rd. $20 per person. Register a team!
- App State Strategic Planning Listening Sessions will take place on Wednesday, February 25, and Thursday, February 26. You can find the registration link in the email sent to campus on February 11th.

Staff Senate meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in 421 Belk Library and Information Commons and are open to all university staff.
The next Staff Senate meeting will be held on March 10, 2026 1:30-3:00 PM or via Zoom.
