The Events Committee creates opportunities for connection, recognition, and community among Staff Senators throughout the year. Our signature responsibility is planning and hosting the annual Winter Celebration, a special gathering exclusively for Staff Senators to reflect, reconnect, and celebrate the year’s accomplishments.
Beyond the Winter Celebration, the committee designs and coordinates engagement events that bring fun, creativity, and camaraderie to the Senate community. Past activities have included a Maker’s Market, a March Bracket Challenge, and an Academy Awards Prediction Contest, with new ideas welcomed each year.
The committee works to:
Plan the Winter Celebration — a signature event honoring Staff Senators
Develop year‑round engagement through creative, low‑pressure activities
Encourage community building among Senators across divisions
Support new event ideas that strengthen connection and morale
Staff Senators are invited to participate, contribute ideas, and help shape events that reflect the spirit and creativity of the App State community.
